Our Mission

To establish a hub that offers essential resources and equal opportunities for residents to develop their life skills and mental wellbeing, ultimately empowering our local and neighbouring communities

We believe a single action can transform a community, and collective action can change the world. Through diligent advocacy and outreach, our team is dedicated to making a meaningful, lasting impact on the broader community.

Research identifies Lewisham as a borough with significant social challenges: over a third of children live in poverty, and nearly 37% of 19-year-olds lack a Level 3 qualification. Furthermore, the borough maintains high levels of benefit dependency. The Winslade Estate is situated within a particularly underserved pocket of London, where a diverse community—including lone parents, EAL families, and senior citizens—frequently lacks access to essential life-skills training and mental health support.

Our Core Values

  • Accountability, Excellence, and Dedication: We are guided by these pillars in every action we take.

  • Safety First: The health and wellbeing of our members and the people we support are our highest priorities.

  • Collaborative Delivery: We actively involve those we support in our work, ensuring we deliver the best possible outcomes through shared effort.

  • Dignity and Respect: We treat every resident with compassion, respecting their choices while promoting inclusion, independence, and their fundamental rights.

  • Empowering Aspirations: We are committed to helping residents realize and achieve their personal goals.

  • Proactive Problem Solving: We identify local challenges and develop community-led solutions that promote health, positive lifestyles, and sustainable employment.

Our Social Objective

  • Holistic Wellbeing: Facilitate programs that measurably improve the mental health and quality of life for the Winslade community and beyond.

  • Skill Enhancement: Provide accessible educational resources to expand residents' knowledge and practical life skills.

  • Equality of Opportunity: Ensure every resident has a fair path to success regardless of their background.

  • Crisis & Community Support: Maintain a central hub where residents can access reliable advice, assistance, and advocacy.

  • Social Connection: Proactively reduce loneliness by fostering informal social relationships between youth, adults, and senior citizens.

  • Safety and Inclusion: Maintain a fun, secure, and friendly environment that welcomes all age groups.

  • Economic Empowerment: Create local volunteering and employment pathways to strengthen the neighborhood economy.

  • Ethical Reinvestment: As a social enterprise, we ensure all profits are reinvested back into the organization and the people we serve.
